| Hallo zusammen,

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>kurz zu mir: Ich heiße Jörg, bin 28 Jahre alt und meine Frau und ich haben unseren Kleintierzoo nun um 2 Hauskaninchen erweitert.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Da habe ich nun eine vielleicht etwas doofe Frage, aber ich habe nirgendwo richtig was dazu gefunden.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Unsere beiden Hauskaninchen haben wir vom Bauernhof, und die Frau verkauft die Tiere sonst nicht wirklich und hatte insofern keine Vorstellung, wieviel Geld sie uns abknüpfen sollte.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Es sind halt keine Rasse-Stammbaum-Zucht-Kaninchen oder sowas. Beide sind noch nicht ausgewachsen, der eine hat so pi mal Daumen Meerschweingröße und der andere ist schon was größer, ungefähr das doppelte oder dreifache...

Rammler schon kastriert? Wie leben sie denn bei euch? Und was fressen die Beiden denn? UND: Gibt es Fotos?? Fragen über Fragen...!!

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Experte im auseinanderhalten der Geschlechter bin ich nicht, aber die Geschlechtsmerkmale sind bei beiden gleich. Also 2 Rammler oder 2 Häsinnen.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Erst mal, das hatte ich vorhin vergessen: 
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Warst Du denn schon mit den Beiden beim Tierarzt? Das die Geschelchter bestimmt werden ist wirklich extrem wichtig, sonst kann es unter Umständen schnell zu ungewolltem Nachwuchs kommen, zumal Du ja auch nicht weißt, wie alt die Tiere sind. Ein Rammler müsst sobald wie möglich kastriert werden und eine Kastrafrist von 6 Wochen musst Du dann auch einhalten, wenn der Rammler älter als 12 Wochen ist.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Dazu kommt, dass sie gleichgeschlechtliche Konstellationen in 95% der Fälle nicht verstehen und Du vielleicht früher oder später ein 3. Kaninchen des anderen Gechlechts dazu holen musst. Rammler sollten in jedem Fall kastriert werden, da es sonst zu aufgestauten Aggressionen kommt, weil sie ihren Trieb nicht ausleben können und das kann dann zu sehr schlimmen Kämpfen kommen.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Auch solltest Du beim Tierarzt die Kaninchen durchchecken und impfen lassen. Zum Check gehört auch eine Kotprobe, damit die Tiere keine Krankheiten einschleppen, die man so nicht erkennen kann. Eine Tierarztliste findest Du hier:

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Unsere drei Meerschweine leben auch nicht mehr in ihrem Käfig sondern freilaufend auf dem Balkon, weil sie in dem Käfig immer heftiger gestritten haben. Da war einfach nicht genug Raum sich gegenseitig aus dem Weg zu gehen. Seit sie draußen sind, ist alles okay, keine Bissverletzungen mehr gesichtet.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Ich ziehe auch für die Meerschweine schonmal gerne in den Wald mit meiner Druiden-Sichel im Gepäck und sammele, was sich sammeln lässt. Nach gründlicher Reinigung unter heißem Wasser wird dann verfüttert was sich finden lässt: von diversen Grassorten über <class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>ennesseln und <class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>ombeerblätter, Haselnuss-Äste aus Mutters Garten, pieksige Disteln etc.

| Kaninchen kosten leider in der Anschaffung nicht sehr viel.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Meine Beiden haben gerade mal 15 bzw. 20 Euro gekostet und waren von einem Züchter.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>In Zoohandlungen wird meistens was zwischen 30 und 40 Euro pro Kaninchen genommen.

Mit den Kanins haben wir uns jetzt so geeinigt, dass ich mich dafür demnächst mal ihrer Computer- und Homepageprobleme annehme...

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Habe aber auch kein Problem damit, die durch unser Wohnzimmer hoppeln zu lassen. Nur die Meerschweine dürfen da nicht rein, weil die dann immer in die "Katzen-verbesserte" Couch reinklettern und nicht freiwillig wieder rauskommen. (Da hat mein Kater unter der Couch den Stoff aufgerissen und dann immer in der Couch gesessen.)

| Solange es nur um das Geschlecht geht, kann ich mit den beiden auch nochmal dahin zurück, wo ich sie her habe... die Frau kann mir das sagen. Mit den schlauen Büchern über Kanins aus der Bücherei kriege ich die Geschlechtsbestimmung im Zweifelsfall aber selber noch hin.

Wenn ich das Futter für die Kanins hochstelle, können die ohne Probleme z.B. auf den Tisch hüpfen, oder auch auf die Kartons (hat der eine schon unter Beweis gestellt und meinen armen Johannisbeer-Strauch im Blumentopf auf dem Tisch geschreddert). Die Meerschweine kommen da nie im Leben hin.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Umgekehrt täte ich das Meerschweinfutter so basteln, dass die durch irgendeine Öffnung müssen, die zu klein für die Kanins ist. Dann wäre das Problem gelöst.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Das kritische beim Futter ist ja eher das Trockenfutter, das für Meerschweine enthält 5x soviel Vitamin C, das ist natürlich für die Kanins hoffnungslos überdosiert. Den Rest (Gras/Heu/etc und Gemüse/Obst) können sie ja beide haben.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Und die Kartons sind tatsächlich nur eine Übergangslösung... im Moment ist ja warm draußen und Regen kommt nicht auf meinen Balkon, da ist noch einer drüber. Für den Winter kriegen die ein richtiges Haus mit Isolierung... |

Weil Emma laut Tierärztin auch einen etwas zu dicken Bauch hat, haben wir nun einige Dinge von ihr mitbekommen und behandeln nun unsere Emma, damit es zumindest ihr schnell besser geht.

Den Bauch sollen wir unserer Emma auch etwas massieren, damit die Blähungen besser abgehen können.

| Das hört sich schon mal ganz gut an. Sab Simplex und Bene Bac kannst du dir ruhig noch einmal vorbeugend mitgeben lassen. Es schadet nie wenn man das im Haus hat. Zu viel frischen Grünfutter könnte zu den Blähungen und Aufgasungen geführt haben. Es wäre ganz gut, wenn ihr bei ihr vorsichtig austestet was sie verträgt und was nicht. Immer mit kleinen Mengen anfangen und danach beobachten. |

Der Zoohändler wurde uns von unserer Tierärztin als okay empfohlen. Der kommt wohl auch, wenn er kranke Tiere hat, damit zu ihr... ist ja immerhin etwas.

Jetzt haben wir einen 6-8 Wochen alten Zwerg-Rammler und unsere Hauskaninchen Emma... wann sollte man den Rammler spätestens kastrieren lassen, damit es keinen unerwünschten Nachwuchs gibt? |

Das stimmt! Gleichgeschlechtliche Konstellationen gehen zu 95% schief. Bei einem Pärchen, gerade im Babyalter sollte es keine Probleme geben. Ist der Rammler schon bei euch? Der Kleine sollte spätestens bis zur 12. Lebenswoche frühkastriert werden. Bitte mach deswegen schon vorzeitig einen Termin aus und klär ab ob eure TA diesen Eingriff vornehmen wird. Nicht alle TA´s trauen sich an Frühkastrationen heran. Geimoft werden muss er natürlich auch.
