DRINGEND!!! Hartnäckiger Schnupfen im Stall |

| Liebe Experten,
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>ich bin verzweifelt und weiß nicht mehr, was ich noch machen soll. Baytril hat keinen Erfolg ge<class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>acht, ein weiteres Langzeitantibiotikum hilft nicht. Inhalieren <class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>ingt kurzzeitig Linderung aber keine wirkliche Besserung. Wir hatten unseren Stall im Verdacht, weil ich dort Schimmel festgestellt hatte. Inzwischen hat die Box eine Heizung, die auch nachts bei Minustemperaturen für ca. +4 Grad sorgt. Alles Schimmelige wurde natürlich entfernt. Aber es wird nicht besser, eher schlimmer. Ich komme gerade aus dem Stall und Bertha will nichts fressen. Natürlich kommt morgen sofort der Tierarzt aber was kann ich jetzt haben. Soll ich sie besser reinholen!?!?

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Und der ist, leider Gottes, chronisch. Und der wird auch nicht unbedingt durch Schimmel ausgelöst sondern wird von Kaninchengruppe zu Kaninchengruppe verschleppt - zum teil stecken sich schon Welpen bei der eigenen Mutter an. Auch eine einfache Erkältung kann sich chronifizieren.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Es gibt Phasen, in denen Schnupfenkaninchen besser drauf sind, und Phasen in denen es akut ist. Zur Vorbeugung akuter Schnupfenphasen bzw der Unterstützung der kleinen Patienten kann man Kuren mit Zylexis machen, aber im Moment sieht es aus als sei Bertha wohl in keiner guten Verfassung.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Tatsächlich ist die Außenhaltung für Schnupfenpatienten sogar angenehmer als eine Innenhaltung und ein reinholen in die warme Wohnung wird jetzt nr noch zu einer zusätzlichen Kreislaufbelastung führen.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Dazu würde ich jetzt nicht unbedingt raten.

Allerdings mache ich zum Inhalieren wie in einem anderen Kaninchenbuch empfohlen einen Kamillenaufguss mit Blüten aus der Apotheke und setzte Bertha dann in einen Transporter mit Tuch darüber. Inzwischen findet sie das richtig gut, weil sie merkt, dass ihr das Erleichterung <class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>ingt. Sie zeigt ü<class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>igens die "verstärkten nasalen Atemgeräusche" und ein Auge tränt ein wenig. Nach dem Trinken hat sie gerade genießt, aber sonst habe ich das noch nicht gehört. Ihr <class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>uder ist ü<class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>igens bisher (noch) völlig beschwerdefrei. Was mir jetzt Sorge macht ist, dass sie nicht fressen will, selbst ihre Liebslingskräuter nicht. Ich bin quasi Kaninchen-Novizin und mache mir jetzt natürlich Vorwürfe, ob ich nicht doch etwas falsch gemacht habe.

| Beschreibe doch mal genauer die Symptome ... wenn Baytril und ein Langzeit-AB nicht angeschlagen hat ... würde ich es auf jeden Fall nochmals mit Chlorampenicol versuchen ... Auch Marbocyl wird von Kaninchen gut vertragen und gilt als ein wirksames AB bei Kaninchenschnupfen.

| Der Bauch ist weich und sie bewegt sich völlig normal. Kot kann ich ehrlich gesagt nicht beurteilen (sie ist im Stall und ich am Computer...) Urin aber auf jeden Fall. Und ich muss jetzt auch in die Falle, denn morgen liegt ein Horrorabeitstag vor mir. Vielen Dank für alles! Ich halte dich auf dem Laufenden.

| Die Symptome sind wirklich "nur" das Atemgeräusch, dass sich genauso anhört, wie es sich beim mir anhört, wenn ich eine zue Nase habe. und das rechte Auge tränt. Beim Trinken hat sie Schwierigkeiten und niest dann schon mal.

| Dann würde ich beizeiten auch mal den Kopf röntgen und den Kiefer genau anschauen lassen. Nur um auszuschliessen, dass eine Zahnwurzel Ärger macht.

Schnupfen hat sie eigentlich gar nicht, sprich sie hat gar keine Triefnase etc. Es sieht eher nach Lungenentzündung aus... Jedenfalls frisst sie nichts mehr, bekommt kaum noch Luft und war total ausgekühlt. Sie ist jetzt in der Wohnung und unter der Wärmelampe und wird mit Hipp-Bio-Möhren<class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>ei "zwangsernährt".

| ob eine Wärmelampe vonnöten ist, musst du selbst entscheiden, besser ist, sie jetzt nicht zu arg warmzuhalten, denn sie kommt ja von draussen und hat Winterfell. Da reicht meist die warme Wohnung jetzt schon aus.

Das unerklärliche ist, dass meine Bertha noch unter einem Langzeitantibiotikum - Namen habe ich in all dem Stress vergessen - stand, als sich ihr Zustand so sehr verschlechterte. Sie hatte inzwischen extreme Untertemperatur und musste erst einmal unter die Rotlichtlampe. Jetzt fühlt sie sich schon wieder normal an und sie sich ganz <class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>av mit ihren Babymöhren<class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>ei füttern lassen, aber sie bekommt immer noch sehr schlecht Luft.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Ihrem Partner, dem Strizz, geht es gut. Er fand es toll, dass da so viele Leckerchen rumlagen, mit denen ich die Bertha zum Fressen animieren wollte. Sie fressen normalerweise Folgendes:
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Morgens in der früh: eine Hand voll getrockneter Apfelblätter, Löwenzahn und frische Kräuter (Pfeffermine, Salbei und Oregano) sowie max. 2x die Wochen Möhrengrün im Wechsel (im Sommer gibt es natülich frischen Löwenzahl, Spitz- und <class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>eitwegerich, Scharfgabe etc. da wir sehr ländlich wohnen)
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Mittags: 1 Teller frisches Gemüse, hauptsächlich Möhren, <class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>okoli, Sellerei, Salat, ab und zu einen Apfel
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Abends als Betthupferl eine Hand voll getrocknete Kräuter oder Blüten aus dem kaninchenladen.de
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Daneben immer frisches Heu, dass ich zweimal täglich austausche bzw. aufstocke und natürlich Wasser.

Äh, wieso? Das dauert doch nur wenige Minuten.

| Du hast völlig Recht. Die Rotlichtlampe haben wir nur kurz angehabt, denn sie war wirklich eiskalt. Wir haben ein Unter<class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>ingungsproblem da ich noch 4 Katzen haben (eine davon auch schwer chronisch krank) und die haben unser Haus total im Griff. Ich habe sie inzwischen in einem nicht benutzten Bad unterge<class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>acht (da war sie auch, nachdem sie uns zugelaufen waren und bevor sie in den Stall umgezogen sind).

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Bevor beide wieder ins Haus umziehen, muss ich erst einmal eine adäquate "Innenausstattung" besorgen. Im Moment halte ich es nicht für gut ihren Partner, den Strizz, dazuzugeben, denn er versteht gar nicht, dass die Berthel nicht von ihm durch den Stall gejadgt werden will. Ich denke heute <class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>aucht sie mal ihre Ruhe. Ich denke sie ist froh, wenn sie Luft bekommt - so hört es sich jedenfalls an.

Dann wäre es nur ratsam, Strizz dazu zu holen. Muss ja nicht mehr heute sein, aber dann morgen. Partnertiere sind auch sehr sehr wichtig, während eines Genesungsprozesses, gerade auch, wenn es um die Animation zum Futtern geht etc. |

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Sie bekommt aber immer noch nicht gut Luft und ihre Nasenschleimhäute sind feuerrot, aber trocken. (Eine laufenden "Rotznase" hatte sie ja nie.) Hast du eine Ahnung was das wohl sein könnte? Und würde Inhalieren Sinn machen?

| Hmmm, die Schleimhäute könnten natürlich gereizt sein und deshalb auch so sehr rot sein.

Und wenn sie schwer Luft bekommt und die Nase augenscheinlich nicht verklebt ist, dann besteht durchaus die Möglichkeit, dass das Problem tiefer liegt - darüber kann aber nur ein Röntgenbild Aufschluß geben.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Ich würde sie jetzt auch drinnen behalten und Strizz dazuholen, sonst hast du auch später vielleicht das Problem, dass du eine neue Vergesellschaftung durchführen musst.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Könnte man am Stall nicht vielleicht auch durch ein paar Umbaumaßnahmen eine positive Veränderung herbeiführen, so dass ein gute Luftaustausch und Tageslicht gewährleistet werden könnten? |

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>der Stall ist ein ehemaliger Pferdestall (im Fachwerkstil, also gemauert) in L-Form mit drei Pferdeboxen. Eine der Boxen, die an dier oberen Spitze des "L" haben wir zum Kaninchenstall umfunktioniert. (Vom Platz und den Möglichkeiten laut Tierärztin ein kleines Kaninchenparadies...) Es gibt insgesamt drei große Fenster und wenn sie denn scheint, kommt auch Sonne rein, aber da ich im Haus keinen Kellerzugang von außen habe, überwintern auch meine ganzen Pflanzen im Stall. Das trägt sicher zur hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit bei. Wir haben deshalb schon in dieser Box die kleine Heizung installiert und auch einen "Vorhang", der diesen Teil vom Rest trennt. Dadurch haben wir eine durchgängige Temperatur erreicht, aber die Luftfeuchtigkeit konnten wir nur unerheblich senken.

| Kleines Update: Bertha und Strizz sind jetzt wieder vereint und im Haus, allerdings in ihrem "Hasensitterkäfig" ( 1m x 1m). Aber das ist ja nur für den Übergang. Daher auch noch einmal die Fragen an alle Expertinnen: wenn Bertha irgendwann (hoffentlich bald) beschwerdefrei und wieder gesund ist, kann ich die beiden dann wieder in den Stall <class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>ingen (die Lösung der Luftfeuchtigkeitsprobleme vorausgesetzt) oder sollten sie besser bis zum Frühjahr im Haus bleiben?
