Schwierigkeiten beim Fressen nach Zahn OP |

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Meine kleine Kaninchendame ist Zahnpatientin, ihre Vorderzähne wachsen schief und müssen regelmäßig gekürzt werden. Das machen wir jetzt seit 2 Jahren ca. alle 8 Wochen und bisher ging immer alles gut.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Jetzt hatte sie vor 3 Wochen eine Zahn OP, weil sich ein dicker Abszess an ihrer linken Wange gebildet hatte. Die OP hatte sie gut überstanden und zwei Tage später konnte ich sie wieder mit nach Hause nehmen. Dort hat sie 4 Tage lang ordentlich gegessen, auch große Portionen (Apfel, <class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>okkoli, Feldsalat und Chicorée, nur Möhrchen ging nicht). Dann hat sie angefangen wieder weniger zu essen. Als wir dann wieder zum TA sind, haben wir gesehen, dass sie alles im Mund sammelt, und auch richtig große Stücken.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Die Wunde ist sehr gut verheilt und es läuft kein Eiter mehr nach. Im Mund hat sie auch keine Verletzungen. Meine TA hat ihr noch mehrere Tage Antibiotikum gespritzt und ein Schmerzmittel, aber es hilft nicht. Sie sammelt immer ihr komplettes Futter im Mund. Critical Care kann sie schlucken und nimmt sie auch gerne, solange ihr Mund halbwegs leer ist. Sie versucht alles zu fressen (Karotten, <class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>okkoli, Apfel, Heu), was ich hinstelle. Aber sie kaut es nicht richtig und sammelt alles im Mund. Meine TA weiß nicht was es sein kann und ich bin auch völlig ratlos. Ich sehe, dass sie Hunger hat und kann ihr nicht helfen. Sie wiegt nur noch 1,3 kg.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Wurde der Kiefer schon mal geröngt?
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Was wurde bei der OP alles genau gemacht?

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Du solltest ihr unbedingt Päppel<class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>ei hinstellen bzw. anbieten, diesen kannst du auch mit Schmelzflocken, pürierter Banana, ungezuckterem Baby<class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>ei etc. anreichern, dass sie auch Kalorien zu sich nimmt und ihr Verdauungssystem auch flott bleibt, |

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Bei der OP wurde der Abszess gespaltet und eine Drainage gelegt sowie 2 Backenzähne gezogen. Es wurde sowohl nur der Kiefer als auch der <class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>ustbereich noch einmal geröntgt, es ist nichts zu sehen. Alles sieht normal aus. Wenn ich ihr die Sachen ganz fein rasple bzw. püriere kann sie es fressen, aber sobald es etwas grober geraspelt ist, sammelt sie es im Mund. Die Zähne werden immer abgeknipst, bisher gab es nie Probleme. Was mich halt wundert, ist, dass sie die Tage nach der OP so gut gegessen hat und dann plötzlich nicht mehr.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Selbstpüriertes Gemüse frisst sie, und das Critical Care mische ich mit Karottensaft an, das mag sie auch sehr gerne.

| Kannst Du evtl. beurteilen, ob es eher nicht geschluckt wird, weil ein Zerkleinern durch Kauen nicht möglich ist und die <class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>ocken damit zu groß sind oder hat sie generell Probleme beim Abschlucken?

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Das Problem beim Abknipsen von Schneidezähnen ist, dass diese leicht splittern und <class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>echen können. Möglich wäre also, dass ein Schneidezahn bis in den Wurzelbereich gesplittert ist und nun Probleme bereitet.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Ist denn auch die Maulhöhle noch mal gründlich kontrolliert worden?

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Der Abszess wurde nach der OP alle 3 Tage gespült und ein Antibiotikum auf die Wunde gegeben. Es ist jetzt kein Eiter mehr da und die Wunde ist auch schon wieder gut verheilt und es wächst sogar schon wieder Fell drüber.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Da meine Tierärztin zwischendurch frei hatte, wurde meine Maus auch von ihrer Vertretung untersucht und behandelt, beide Ärztinnen sagen, dass sowohl die Wunde sehr gut abgeheilt ist, als auch in der Mundhöhle nichts zu sehen ist - keine Zahnspitzen und keine Entzündungen oder Wunden.

Sie versucht alles zu fressen, was da ist, kann es nur nicht. Und das würde sie nicht machen, wenn sie Schmerzen hätte, oder?

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Was mir seit der OP aufgefallen ist, ist, dass sie total zutraulich und verschmust geworden ist. Ich find das natürlich total schön, aber das ist eigentlich total untypisch für sie. Vorher war sie eher zurückhaltend und scheu gewesen, jetzt kommt sie sofort angehoppelt, wenn ich komme und lässt sich streicheln. Gestern ist sie sogar freiwillig in ihre Transportbox gehoppelt, um zum TA zu fahren (ich musste ihr wieder den Mund ausräumen lassen). Das habe ich noch nie erlebt.

| Sie frisst kaum noch etwas (<class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>ei) und magert immer mehr ab. Wenn ich versuche es ihr zuzufütter, weigert sie sich und spuckt alles wieder aus. Ich habe gerade das Gefühl ich schaue ihr beim Sterben zu. |

| mein Opa Hasi hatte am Dienstag auch eine Zahn-Op, ihm wurde ein Schneidezahn gezogen. Nach der Op hat er sämtliche Nahrung verweigert bzw. knabbert er nur bisschen dran und lässt alles liegen. Er hat große Schmerzen trotz Schmerzmittel. Ich muss ihm Päppel<class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>ei zwang füttern und zwar mit einer kleinen Spritze, die ich etwas tiefer ins Maul einführe und ihn damit zwinge sofort zu schlucken. Wenn ich den <class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>ei nur ins Maul spritze dann spuckt er alles raus und freiwillig frisst er den <class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>ei auch nicht. Ich weiss dass er die Zwangfütterung nicht mag und auch Schmwerzen dabei hat, aber es muss sein.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Kannst du vielleicht den <class="markcol">span class="markcol">Brclass="markcol">span>ei auch direkt ins Maul spritzen, so dass sie es nicht ausspucken kann? Wichtig ist, die Spritze muss klein sein und in kleiner Menge spritzen damit sie nicht verschluckt.

Ihre linke Wange ist jetzt allerdings gelähmt. :-( Und so bleibt es wohl auch. Wenn Sie rechts kaut, geht es ganz gut, dann geht auch Heu. Sie muss jetzt lernen, dass sie rechts kaut. Auf jeden Fall scheint es jetzt wieder bergauf zu gehen. Ich hoffe, es bleibt auch so.
