Hallo Ihr Lieben,
ich habe große Sorgen um Brownie. Montag wurde beim TA hier vor Ort eine Vereiterung im <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>ul festgestellt, er vermutete einen Wurzelabszess. Da ich mit seinen wagen Äußerungen, wie es nun weitergeht, nicht zufrieden war, bin ich heute noch zu unserem altbewährten TA nach Hamburg reingefahren (Elbtunnel...).
Leider hatte der andere TA mit seiner Vermutung recht. Als der TA außen an der Wange gedrückt hat, kam ein ganzer Schwall Eiter heraus. Morgen früh soll Brownie operiert und der Zahn gezogen werden. 
Leider ist es der hinterste Backenzahn (links unten), also wird die OP nicht unkompliziert. Es soll ein Drainageschlauch nach außen durch die Wange gelegt werden. Nach der OP soll ich alle zwei Tage zum <span class="markcol">Spspan>ülen kommen. Verracin soll dann auch noch ge<span class="markcol">spspan>ritzt kriegen (<span class="markcol">spspan>äter, glaube ich).
Oh <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>nn, ich bin ganz schön fertig (das geht jetzt sehr schnell), aber auch froh, dass der TA sofort Nägel mit Köpfen <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht. Jetzt hoffe ich sehr, dass nur der eine Backenzahn betroffen ist. Vor der OP wird in Narkose ein Röntgenbild ge<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht.
Vielleicht könnt Ihr mir noch bei folgenden Fragen helfen:
- Ich habe eben noch<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l mit der Praxis telefoniert, weil ich mir nicht sicher bin, ob ich seine Partnerin Snowy lieber zu Hause lassen soll oder auch mitnehmen. Wegen des Drainageschlauchs <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>che ich mir allerdings Sorgen, dass sie da dran geht (würde ihr ähnlich sehen). Die TA-Helferin meinte eben, sie würde sie eher zu Hause lassen und danach müsste <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l gucken, wie sich die beiden verhalten. Was meint Ihr, wie groß ist das Risiko, dass sie ihm den Schlauch rausreißt?
- Ich kann den beiden dann leider nur zwei getrennte Gehege im gleichen Raum <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>chen, zu<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l das ja wahrscheinlich einige Wochen so bleiben wird mit dem Schlauch. Meint ihr, das wird ein großes Problem mit der Vergesellschaftung? Wäre es gut, die Trennung zumindest blickdicht zu <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>chen?
- Ich bin auch um alle Erfahrungsberichte, was eine solche OP und die Nachbehandlung angeht, dankbar.
- Muss ich sonst noch was beachten?

Danke, Susanne. 
Hatte Willi auch einen Drainageschlauch liegen? Da der ja einige Wochen (wie ich das verstanden habe) drin bleiben muss, kann es sein, dass ich sie so lange trennen muss. Aber das werden sie dann auch überstehen.
Ich habe jetzt zwei Gehege mit Sichtschutz abgetrennt. Sind beide knapp 6 qm, sollte für ein paar Wochen gehen. |

Frisst er denn schon wieder gut?
Weißt du welche Medikamente er alles bekommen hat?
Soweit sieht er doch okay aus, ist natürlich leider eine sehr große Wunde. Wichtig ist, dass er auch selbst nicht daran kratzt. |

Ich wollte kurz melden, dass Brownie alles gut überstanden hat. Als ich ihn abgeholt habe, war er schon wieder recht fit und hat zu Hause gleich sein neues Domizil erkundet. Fressen <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>g er noch nicht so richtig, aber er hat etwas Apfel und Möhrengrün gefressen.
Es wurden zwei Backenzähne gezogen, die sehr lang und krumm waren. Der eine hatte den Eiter verursacht und der andere daneben war so lang, dass er auf die Leiste gedrückt hat.
Leider hat das Legen des Drainageschlauchs nicht geklappt, daher hat er eine Tamponade bekommen. Ich hoffe, das geht auch so alles gut. Er bekommt nun täglich Verracin.
Danke an die Daumendrücker! Ich bin so erleichtert!!!

Jetzt hoffe ich nur, dass er sie selbst nicht rauskriegt, er putzt sich nämlich auch ordentlich am Kopf.
Er hat inzwischen auch noch einiges mehr gefressen. Ich denke, ich kann heute nacht ruhig schlafen (besser als letzte Nacht wäre schön).

Tja, leider hab ich kurz nach dem letzten Post gesehen, dass die Tamponade schon einen halben cm raus hängt. Da ich Angst hab, dass er sie komplett raus <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht, haben wir ihm leider eine Halskrause verpassen müssen.
Vielleicht hat die TA morgen früh eine andere Lösung.
Ich übernachte nun neben den Kaninchen im Keller, damit ich höre, wenn was nicht stimmt...

Nee, ich hab nicht wirklich geschlafen. Er hat die ganze Nacht versucht, sich das Teil abzu<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>chen und <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l davon abgesehen, dass es sehr laut war (Fußkratzen auf Plastik..), tat er mir einfach so leid, dass ich nicht wirklich schlafen konnte. Zwischendurch hat er aber auch gefressen und sich lang hingelegt. Ich hoffe also, er kommt klar. :/
Der TA-Besuch war leider auch sehr nervenaufreibend. Es war nur eine neue Ärztin in der Gemeinschaft<span class="markcol">spspan>raxis, die nur gebrochen deutsch <span class="markcol">spspan>richt und die nichts über Brownies OP wusste. Sie sollte eigentlich nur Veracin und Metacam <span class="markcol">spspan>ritzen und dann ist ihr die Kanüle von der Veracin-<span class="markcol">Spspan>ritze abgeplatzt und alles auf Brownies Fell gelandet (siehe anderen Panik-Post von mir...).
Es ist anscheinend so, dass das Veracin, wenn es einen Tag in der <span class="markcol">Spspan>ritze "steht" dickflüssiger wird und nicht mehr durch eine dünne Kanüle geht. <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n sollte es also vorher schwenken und/oder eine größere Kanüle nehmen. So hab ich das jetzt verstanden.
Brownie hat nun eine ausgiebige Waschaktion hinter sich.
Die Wunde sah laut TA gut aus, die Tamponage sitzt auch noch gut. Aber er soll auf jeden Fall die Halskraus anbehalten. Der Arme!! Ge<span class="markcol">spspan>ült wird am Montag vom altbewährten Doc.
Zum Glück frisst er gut und legt sich auch ent<span class="markcol">spspan>annt hin. |

Ja, das Veracin setzt sich selbst in der Stechampulle immer ab, daher ist auf jeden Fall gut schütteln vorher angesagt. Hast Du schon fertig aufgezogene <span class="markcol">Spspan>ritzen mitbekommen?
Die Halskrause kannst Du ja ggf. immer dann ab<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>chen, wenn Du dabei bist und ihn im Blick hast.

Ich hab jetzt erst<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l für morgen eine fertige Veracin-<span class="markcol">Spspan>ritze mitbekommen. Montag muss ich eh zur Kontrolle und zum <span class="markcol">Spspan>ülen wieder zum TA. Hab schon ein bisschen Bammel, obwohl es mir gut erklärt wurde und ich heute bei der TA schon ein<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l erfolgreich "gestochen" habe (die Kaninchenhaut ist ja echt dick). Zum Glück ist Brownie sehr ruhig.
Es ist immer schwierig, die Halskrause wieder "anzuziehen", daher <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>ch ich sie nicht so gerne ab. Auch weil ich Angst habe, ihm wegen der Wunde an der Wange wehzutun. Aber morgen zum <span class="markcol">Spspan>ritzen wäre es sicher auch einfacher ohne Halskrause (Brownie liebt Ohrenkraulen ).

Das <span class="markcol">Spspan>ritzen hat gut geklappt. Brownie hat noch nicht<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l gezuckt. 
Ich hatte auch etwas zittrige Hände.
Netterweise hatte die TA-Helferin Brownie an zwei kleinen Stellen das Fell wegrasiert, so dass ich besser sehen kann, wohin ich steche und nicht durch seinen dickten Pelz durch muss (ja er hat recht lange Haare, viel länger als Snowy z.B.).
Danach hat er zur Belohnung eine Cranberry bekommen.
Ich bin erleichert.

Wenn <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n das Veracin schüttelt, muss <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n dann vorher etwas Luft in die Kanüle ziehen? Die TA-Helferin hatte mir den Tipp gegeben. Als ich die Luft danach wieder rausdrücken wollte, sind dann leider auch ein paar Tröpfchen von dem Inhalt mit rausgedrückt worden. Das soll ja eigentlich nicht sein.
- Funktioniert das Schütteln auch ohne vorher Luft reinzuziehen?
- Muss <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n vor dem <span class="markcol">Spspan>ritzen die Luft "rausdrücken"?
PS: Ich hab auch festgestellt, dass <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n auf jeden Fall den Sitz der Kanüle testen muss. Die ist mir schon entgegengefallen, als ich den Deckel abge<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht hab... |

Wir waren heute morgen noch<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l beim TA.
Der TA hat die Drainage (Tamponage) entfernt und sowohl von außen als auch von innen (vom Mäulchen aus) ge<span class="markcol">spspan>ült. Es sah alles gut aus, kein Eiter zu sehen. 
Brownie hat einen Leukasekegel in die Wunde bekommen und noch<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l Veracin und Metacam. Morgen früh sollen wir noch<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l zum <span class="markcol">Spspan>ülen kommen (anscheinend ist die Wunde bis dahin noch offen?).
Morgen muss ich wieder arbeiten, aber zum Glück war mein Chef gut drauf und ich darf dann <span class="markcol">spspan>äter anfangen. 
Ich bin froh, dass der Kleine die Halskrause wieder los ist! Er putzt sich natürlich jetzt die ganze Zeit... |

Es sind nun 10 Tage seit der OP vergangen. Heute wurde die Wunde das letzte <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l von außen ge<span class="markcol">spspan>ült. Nie war seit der OP Eiter zu sehen. Die Wunde heilt gut von innen ab. Auch im <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>ul ist laut TA kaum noch was zu sehen. 
Trotzdem kriegt Brownie noch mindestens diese Woche weiterhin alle 2 Tage Veracin ge<span class="markcol">spspan>ritzt. Am Freitag wird dann auch noch<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l von innen ge<span class="markcol">spspan>ült.
Der Kleine <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht alles ganz toll mit. Er ist verschmust wie eh und je, lässt sich problemlos hochheben, ist relativ ent<span class="markcol">spspan>annt in der Tran<span class="markcol">spspan>ortbox. Echt super! Ich bin echt froh, dass alles so problemlos verlaufen ist - hoffentlich bleibt es so.
Brownie frisst auch gut, ich hatte aber zwischendurch den Eindruck, dass er noch Probleme mit dem Kauen hat. Das ist aber wohl nor<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l, wenn zwei Zähne fehlen, oder? Am Wochenende werde ich Brownie und Snowy dann wieder vergesellschaftet. Die Arme hat in der Zwischenzeit noch eine Augenentzündung mitge<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht, für die sie eine Salbe mit Antibiotika und Kortison gekriegt hat. Zum Glück scheint auch das abgeheilt zu sein.

Wie genau äußern sich denn die Probleme beim fressen? Oder besser gefragt: Bei welchen Futtermitteln beobachtest du denn Probleme?
Schmerzmittel bekommt er keine mehr, richtig?

Momentan frisst/kaut Brownie meiner Meinung nach nor<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l, auch schneller als vor der OP.
Ich hatte das bei etwas "derberen" Blättern, wie Kohlrabiblätter und Salbeiblättern beobachtet. Das hatte er dann im <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>ul rumgedreht und zum Teil fiel es ihm wieder raus. Die feinen Kräuterblätter und auch festere Sachen wir Kohlrabi gingen ohne Probleme.
Zur Zeit glaube ich, dass er Schmerzen von <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>ul<span class="markcol">spspan>reizer hatte. Schmerzmittel hatte er zu dem Zeitpunkt schon nicht mehr bekommen. Das letzte <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>ul<span class="markcol">spspan>reizer war am Montag, seitdem ist es viel besser.
Allerdings frisst er nach wie vor keinen einzigen Halm Heu. Dabei haben wir ganz tolles duftendes Heu mit langen Halmen, was Snowy nur so verschlingt. Er <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>g noch nicht<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l reinbeißen, wenn <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n es ihm vors Mäulchen hält. Ich frag mich immer, ob er es einfach nicht <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>g oder ob er es nicht kann oder sich einfach abgewöhnt hat, weil es früher <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l wehtat? Getrocknete Blätter und Kräuter frisst er problemlos.
Wäre ja schon sehr gut, wenn er Heu fressen würde, um weiteren Zahnproblemen vorzubeugen...  |

| So banal wie das klingt, aber hast Du <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l eine andere Sorte Heu versucht? Wenn er Trockenkräuter und -Blätter futtert, sollte es ja eigentlich auch mit Heu klappen. Wenn das aktuelle sehr langstielig und grob ist, vielleicht tut Brownie sich dann etwas leichter mit feinerem Heu aus kleiner geschnittenen Halmen. |

ich hab im letzten Jahr bestimmt 5 oder 6 verschiedene Heusorten au<span class="markcol">spspan>robiert (Heuandi, Nabu, Schwarzwaldheu, <span class="markcol">Spspan>eershof (Fressnapf), Vitakraft... und jetzt das Allgäuheu). Er pickt sich leider noch nicht<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l einzelne Halme raus (höchstens Kräuter).
Vielleicht motiviert ihn Snowy, es <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l wieder zu probieren (die VG läuft gerade). |

Wir waren am Montag bei der Abschlussuntersuchung und die Wunde sieht <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n kaum noch. Keine Beule, keine Druckempfindlichkeit und Eiter war ja die ganze Zeit keiner beim <span class="markcol">Spspan>ülen zu sehen gewesen. 
Leider hat mich die TA auf einen den vorderen oberen Backenzahn auf der anderen Seite hingewiesen, der ziemlich verfärbt und "krüppelig" aussieht. Sie meinte, es kann sein, dass dieser auch irgendwann Probleme <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>chen wird. Die unteren Schneidezähne sind auch etwas verfärbt (Probleme beim Abbeißen hatte er nie). Das hat meine Laune ein bisschen getrübt, hoffentlich bleibt es erst<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l lange gut.
Ich habe dann noch eine Kotprobe auf Endoparasiten und Hefen untersuchen lassen, da Brownies Köttel schon seit Monaten verformt sind. Ich dachte, es kommt von den Haaren, weil er auch dauernd Köttelketten hat. Hefen hab ich aber auch in Betracht gezogen und das hat sich auch bestätigt: Befall mittelgradig. Sonst zum Glück nichts.
Jetzt frage ich mich, ob ich wirklich mit Nystatin behandeln soll bei mittelgradigem Befall oder erst<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l abwarten soll, ob es von alleine besser wird. Schließlich hat er ja eine Antibiotika-Behandlung hinter sich, da muss ja erst<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l alles wieder ins Gleichgewicht kommen. Und er sollte ja auch die Futterbestandteile nun besser kauen können, was ja auch zu einer Verbesserung beitragen könnte.
Würdet Ihr (jetzt) mit Nystatin behandeln, so wie die TA empfiehlt? Oder den Darm erst<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l erholen lassen vom Veracin?

Hefen sind immer eine Sekundärerkrankung. Da ihr den Auslöser gefunden und hoffentlich erfolgreich abgestellt habt, würde ich ihm eine Chance geben, das ganze selbst und ohne ein weiteres Medikament zu regeln. Achte auf die zucker- und stärkereduzierte Fütterung und beobachte, wie er so drauf ist.
Sehr häufig pendelt sich ein Hefebefall auf Grund von Zahnproblemen nach der Sanierung ganz von alleine wieder ein. |

Ab und zu höre ich seinen Bauch laut gluckern, heute auch wieder. Er zeigt aber keine Anzeichen von Schmerzen und frisst wie ein Scheunendrescher. |
