Neues Kaninchen greift mich an und knurrt ständig |

Hallo ihr,
ich brauche dringend Rat und hoffe ihr könnt mir helfen.
Letzte Woche Freitag musste ich leider m<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en geliebten Rammler Caesar <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>schläfern lassen.
Damit m<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> Mädchen nicht so lange all<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> bleiben muss habe ich vor drei Tagen <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> neues Männchen aus dem Tierheim geholt, der leider <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> schlimmes Schicksal hinter sich hat.
Er kommt aus <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>er Wohnungszwangsräumung und war in <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em erbärmlichen Zustand.
-unterernährt (<1kg)
-verdreckt
-extrem lange Krallen
-und das Schlimmste: das Partnertier lag bereits verendet neben ihm
Im Tierheim wurde er wieder <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>gepäppelt und dann kastriert.
Jetzt sitzt er bei uns s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Quarantäne ab.
Nun zu m<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em Problem.
Obwohl er sonst nicht sehr verängstigt sch<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>t ist er sobald man den Käfig <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>macht total aggressiv greift an wenn ich den Futternapf oder das Wasser wechseln möchte (ich weiß nicht ob er beißen würde, wenn ich m<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Hand nicht schnell genug in Sicherheit bringen würde) und knurrt wenn man ihm zu Nahe kommt oder gar streicheln möchte.
Hat jemand <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en Rat wie man mit so <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em Problempatienten am Besten umgeht?
Wird es besser, wenn er mit m<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em Mädchen vergesellschaftet ist, oder ist er so traumatisiert, dass das zur Tortur werden könnte?
Hat jemand von euch etwas ähnliches erlebt?
Ich freue mich <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan> eure Ratschläge!

Hallo und
Ich habe d<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en Beitrag in den richtigen Unterbereich verschoben.
Zunächst mal würde mich interessieren, wie viel Platz er dauerhaft hat. Du schreibst von <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em Käfig, m<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>st du damit <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en handelsüblichen?
Wie man mit so <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em Tier am besten umgeht ist recht <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>fach: viel Platz, Geduld und vor allem Akzeptanz.
Er sch<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>t bisher immer um s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> Revier kämpfen zu müssen. Lass ihn <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Erfahrung machen, dass er Platz genug hat, wenn es soweit ist, wieder <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> Partnertier und vor allem dass er von dir nichts zu befürchten hat. Eng ihn nicht <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>, zwing ihm k<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en Kontakt <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan> und vor allem respektiere, wenn er nie in s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em Leben gekuschelt werden will.
Ich hatte 9 Jahre lang <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en kl<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en Löwen, der mir so oft <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Hände getackert hat, dass ich es schon nicht mehr zählen konnte. Dennoch war er m<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e kl<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Kaninchenliebe, <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> ganz besonderes Tier, mit dem ich <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Bindung hatte, obwohl ich ihn sehr selten streicheln durfte. |

Hey, danke für <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> schnelle Antwort.
Er befindet sich zu Zeit in unserem Arbeitszimmer in <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em Ausl<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>gehege, was eigentlich für draußen gedacht ist. Ich habe Käfig geschrieben, weil das Gehege oben zu ist. Platz hat er im Moment 3m², mit Unterschlupf, Heutunnel, Heur<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>e und allem was dazu gehört. Er sch<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>t sich so auch ganz wohl zu fühlen.
Schlägt haken, macht Luftsprünge und knallt sich zum Hinlegen gern <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan> <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Seite. Nur wenn ich bei ihm das Futter oder ähnliches r<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>stellen will, wird er echt aggressiv.
Unser Mädchen ist jetzt all<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> in <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em 8m² Gehege im Freien, in das er nach erfolgreicher Vergesellschaftung mit <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>ziehen soll.
Ich hab jetzt aber echt Bammel <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> zwei nach der Quarantäne zusammen zu lassen, wenn er so aggressiv ist.

das ist <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Sorge, <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> viele Leute in d<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>er Lage haben - und ich wundere mich jedes Mal. Wir Menschen mit unseren greifenden Händen, <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> von oben in <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> geschlossenes Revier hin<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>langen, sind doch etwas völlig anderes als <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> Artgenosse <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan> Augenhöhe.
Natürlich kann ich weder garantieren, dass der Rammler <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> großer Freund anderer Kaninchen ist, noch dass <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> VG friedlich lauifen wird. Aber bei <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em territorialen Angstkandidaten dar<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan> zu schließen, dass er auch andere Kaninchen angehen wird, ist <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> falscher Schluss. Häufig verl<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>en <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> zusammenführungen mit anderen Kaninchen "ganz normal". Es wird feurig ausdiskutiert, wer welchen Anspruch hat - aber <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan> gleicher oder ähnlicher Augenhöhe.
<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">Diespan> Chance, dass d<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> neuzugang bei der VG völlig doof spielt ist nicht höher oder niedriger als bei jedem anderen unbekannten Neuzugang, ehrlich.
Wenn du es mit <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan>sem Tier versuchen willst - und das braucht viel Verständnis, aber kann für <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en Selbst (wie schon von m<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>er Vorschreiberin erwähnt) sehr zufriedenstellend s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>- wünsche ich dir natürlich viel Erfolg

Liebe CyCy,
ich kann es ihm aber leider nicht ersparen in den Käfig zu greifen.
Und ich greife auch ganz gewiss NICHT von oben in den Käfig, sondern von der Seite durch <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e extra Tür und auch NUR wenn er sich am anderen Ende des Geheges befindet. Und trotzdem kommt er dann sofort angestürmt und knurrt und würde wahrsch<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>lich auch zwicken.
Aber wie gesagt, ich kann es ihm in s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em eigenen Interesse ja nicht ersparen.
M<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Idee wäre noch ihn zum Sauber machen und Füttern in <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Transportbox zu stecken (da geht er freiwillig r<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>) und erst wieder ins Zimmer zu holen, wenn ich fertig bin, aber das würde ihn vll. genauso oder noch mehr stressen. Was m<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>t ihr?
Für <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> VG bleibt mir ja nun auch nix anderes übrig als mir zu wünschen, dass sie halbwegs "gesittet" abläuft. Im Interesse beider.

Hallo Strawberry,
ich habe vor 3 Wochen ebenfalls <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Angstbeißerin <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>genommen und hatte ebenfalls Bedenken wegen der VG.
Wir haben sie zwei Wochen in Quarantäne gehabt, wo sie neben ihrem Gehege auch täglich richtig viel Ausl<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan> bekommen hat und auch sonst gut versorgt wurde. Wir haben sie nicht bedrängt, sie kam irgendwann von selbst zu uns, aber auch da haben wir sie nicht gestreichelt. Wenn sie im Ausl<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan> war, habe ich Näpfe ausgetauscht und Heu <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>gefüllt.
Nach <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>iger Zeit knapste sie nur noch in <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Hände, aber biss nicht mehr so doll zu. Wir haben gemerkt, dass sie sich sehr wohlfühlte, aber <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>sam war. In den zwei Wochen hat sie sich schon sehr entspannt, m<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> Freund hatte auch große Geduld mit ihr und dem in <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Finger zwicken.
<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">Diespan> VG läuft jetzt seit <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>er Woche und Amy hat noch k<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>ziges Mal versucht <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> anderem zu jagen, geschweige denn zu beißen. Seit der VG lässt sie sich auch streicheln und besonders in den ersten Tagen, hat sie in ihrer Angst vor den anderen sehr unsere Nähe gesucht und sich richtig gerne streicheln lassen. Obwohl sie so viel <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>stecken muss, ist sie jetzt auch gelassener. All<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e hat sie bei jedem Geräusch geklopft, das hab ich jetzt gar nicht mehr erlebt.
Ich kann dir also Mut zu sprechen! Platz, Geduld und Partner können hier viel bewirken. |

Es ist lediglich <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e sachliche beobachtung. Und auch wenn man nicht von oben hr<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>greift, so kommt <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e menschliche Hand mit dem Arm (sofern man nicht <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan> dem Bauch liegt) ja doch schräg von oben.
<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">Einspan>e bessere Formulierung wäre vielleicht gewesen: <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">Einspan>e menschliche, greifende Hand bewegt sich für <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> Kaninchen <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan> fremde Weise. <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">Einspan> anderes Kaninchen ist dagegen, auch wenn das jeweilige Tier unbekannt ist, artnah und vertraut in s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>er Art und Weise, und es kann 'gelesen' werden. Bei der hand weiß das Kaninchen niemals, was <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan>se als nächstes tun wird, bei <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em Artgenossen kann es das durch <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Körpersprache ablesen. Und <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> meisten Kaninchen, <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> so "nach vorn gehen" tun das eher aus Angst beziehungsweise als aktive Verteidigung.
Es sprach ja auch niemand davon, das her<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>greifen beziehungsweise das agieren in s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>em Revier zu unterlassen. Da stimme ich dir selbstverständlich zu, das geht nicht und soll ja auch nicht passieren. Schließlich soll das Kaninchen beizeiten lernen, dass das nicht schlimm ist.
Was bei Alexandra schon ganz gut durchkommt ist vielleicht das <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e: Wenn man so <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> verstörtes Tier hat, und es mit ihm versuchen will, kann es s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>, dass man über <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Jahre immer mal wieder 'was abkriegt' und da muss man drüber stehen.
Wenn man das versuchen will, finde ich das großartig und ich freue mich für jeden Angstbeißer, der so <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Chance bei verständnisvollen Haltern bekommt.
<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">Diespan> Sache mit der Transportbox wäre mir, das sehe ich ähnlich wie du, zu stressig. Wer nicht mag, dass ins Revier <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>gedrungen wird, der wird es noch weniger mögen, immer dann wenn es so weit ist in <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> enge Box zu kommen (sch<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>bar hat das Tier ja Probleme mit engen Platzverhältnissen).
Freil<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan> während der Zeit, in der du <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>räumst, ist nicht möglich?
Wie gesagt, ich habe aus der Erfahrung zutrauen, dass <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> meisten Kaninchen, <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> k<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Menschen mögen, anderen Kaninchen gegenüber nicht unhöflicher sind als menschenfreundliche Kaninchen.

Erstmal zum Thema Vergesellschaftung: Nur weil das Tier dir gegenüber zum Angreifen neigt, heißt das gar nichts.
Ich hatte mit Shy drei mal das Vergnügen <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e VG zu starten, jede war abgeschlossen, bevor sie angefangen hat. Er hat sich s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en Mädels sofort untergeordnet, sich putzen lassen - und <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Mädels vor mir beschützt...
Als s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e zweite Partnerin Stormy <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>geschläfert wurde, hat er so sehr getrauert, dass er nicht mehr gefressen hat und über das Wochenende (von Freitag früh, bis Montag <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Neue <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>gezogen ist) fast 200g abgenommen hat. Als er wieder <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Partnerin hatte, war wieder alles gut.
Nur weil er mir gegenüber <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> kl<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>es (oder großes) Ekel war, heißt das nicht, dass das auch dem Partnertier gegenüber so ist. Er war <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>es der Tiere mit dem stärksten ausgeprägten Sozialleben, <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> ich kennen lernen durfte, immer am kuscheln, putzen oder Kopf unterschieben.
Wenn du es wirklich mit dem kl<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en Kerl versuchen willst, dann musst du dir im Klaren s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>, dass du ihn so nehmen kannst, wie er ist und dir das nichts ausmacht. Nur wenn du ihn akzeptierst und nicht versuchst ihn nach d<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en Wünschen zu ändern (was meist schief geht) habt ihr beide <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Chance.
Man lernt, sich zu arrangieren und <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Über<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>kunft zu treffen, was der Mensch darf und was nicht.
Ich habe beispielsweise immer mit zwei Besen sauber gemacht, da Shy <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en davon immer angegangen ist. So hat er <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en rumgeworfen, gebissen... und ich hatte <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en zweiten zum Putzen. |

Hi. M<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> Teddy war, als ich ihn hier her geholt habe, auch <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> Angstbeißer...ziemlich extrem sogar...er hat alles und jeden angeknurrt und angegriffen. Naja, man weiß nicht, was <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Tiere von ihrem "früheren" Leben zurückbehalten haben...wenn Menschen so misshandelt werden, bleibt auch meistens was zurück...Teddy ist mit Elfi, s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>er Dame, sehr liebevoll bei der VG umgegangen. Und seit er sie hat, ist er viel entspannter. Was ich damit sagen will, gib ihm Zeit und hab Geduld. Nur weil er dich angreift muss er nicht s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Lady auch angreifen.

Da würd ich doch auch gern aus dem Nähkästchen plaudern.Wir haben auch so <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en kl<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en Terrorzwerg. Als wir ihn bekamen hatte er <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> Stallleben hinter sich.Bei uns bekam er Ausl<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan> Tag und Nacht,vom ersten Tage an.Er lebte zum <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">Einspan>gewöhnen in der küche,also ohne Dauerpublikum. Wir hatten k<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> Gitter um ihn rum.Nur den Fußboden ausgelegt mit Teppich .Von <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan>sem geht er bis heute nicht runter.Näherte man sich <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan>sem, kam er wie <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> Blitz an,und hackte zu.
Wir haben ihn dann nach der Kastrafrist mit Lumi vergesellschaftet. Und mit s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>er Lumi ist er <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan> Herz und <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Seele.Sie hat er nur berammelt sonst nix. Nie so angegriffen ,wie er es mit uns Menschen macht.Bei ihr ist er ganz lieb.

Hallo ihr Lieben,
vielen Dank für eure teils doch <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>bauenden Erlebnisberichte.
Unser "Neuer" fasst so langsam Vertrauen zu uns, wobei er s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Schreckhaftigkeit jedoch noch nicht so richtig ablegen konnte. Aber das wird sicher noch <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e lange Zeit in Anspruch nehmen...
Mittlerweile frisst er aus der Hand und lässt (solange er noch was neues zu futtern hat) mich in Ruhe den Käfig sauber machen.
"Streicheln" lässt er sich auch schon etwas, was dann wie folgt aussieht: Wenn ich mich mit dicken Lederhandschuhen und Kehrsch<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>el bewaffnet zu ihm begebe kann ich ihn mit der Kehrsch<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>el (hm... ) am Kopf und um <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Ohren streicheln, wenn er sich dann etwas entspannt hat auch mit der behandschuhten Hand! Hektische Bewegungen sind allerdings noch nicht drin. Das sind aber dennoch sehr gute Fortschritte würde ich m<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>en.
Anfang September soll <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> VG stattfinden, da er dann s<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Kastra- und Quarantänefrist abgesessen hat. Wenn das alles gut über <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">diespan> Bühne gegangen ist kann er mit ins Außengehege ziehen, was <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>grund des großen Platzangebots hoffentlich nochmal Fortschritte beim Vertrauens<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">aufspan>bau bringen wird.
Ich hoffe dass er dann wenigstens nicht mehr angreift, damit unsere Tochter unsere Kaninchendame weiterhin beschmusen kann... Er braucht ja k<span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">einspan>e Schmusenase zu werden, war unser Caesar auch nicht.
Nächstes Jahr wollen wir umziehen, wofür ich noch gute Idee und vll. sogar <span <span class="markcol">classspan>="markcol">Aufspan>bauanleitungen für Marder sichere Gehege benötige.
