Abzess- große Angst? Was ist das jetzt wieder? |

Ich muss ausholen.
Meine Häsin hatte von September bis Mitte Oktober eine Augenentzündung. Dann haben wir sie notfallmäßig kastrieren lassen, was ich mir noch jetzt zum Vorwurf <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>che. Die Kastra hat sie halbwegs überstanden und frisst auch schon wieder. Etwas Wundwasser kam noch aus der Wunde. Ansonsten wirkte sie fit.
Weil wir bei den Augen die Zähne im Verdacht hatten, haben wir gleich vorsorglich ein Röntgenbild <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>chen lassen letzten Montag. Da war alles okay.
Gestern schaue ich nun hin und taste sie ab (weil ich das alle 2 Wochen präventiv <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>che), fühle ich auf jeder Seite beim Unterkiefer bei genauerem Tasten 2 größere Knubbel und Verdickungen.
Bei mir ging sofort der Panikmodus an. Ich hab mit ähnlichen Symptomen erst vor einem Jahr meinen Kaninchenwidder verloren (allerdings in Folgen der O.P)
Nun <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht mich aber stutztig, dass das auf jeder Seite ist. Links kleiner als rechts.
Ich dachte an die Kinndrüsen, die durch die Kastra viellicht geschwollen sind?
Morgen werde ich gleich zum Tierarzt fahren. Leider ist meine sonstige Tierärztin bis Ende dieser Woche im Urlaub und eines ihrer Kinder (leider noch sehr jung und nicht so erfahren) <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht ihren Dienst.
Was kann das sein? Sie ist erst 8 Monate alt. Das kann doch unmöglich jetzt schon das Ende sein.
Wie gesagt hatten wir die Zähne geröntgt am Montag und da war alles okay.
Den Bauch und die Lunge und das Herz hatten wir erst im Juni geröntgt. Auch alles okay.
Was kann das sein? Warum ist das so dick? |

Abszesse können leider recht flott entstehen. Aber dass da nun zwei Abszesse parallel auf jeder Seite entstanden sind, wäre schon ein arg großer Zufall. Umfangsvermehrungen können auch viele anderen Gründe haben, aber auch da wäre es seltsam, dass die beidseitig zur gleichen Zeit entstanden sind.
Hast Du <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l bei Deinem anderen Kaninchen an dieser Stelle abgetastet? Vielleicht sind es ja wirklich nur leicht geschwollene Lymphknoten, die Du da fühlst. |

| Da die Zähne ja gerade erst geröntgt wurden und da alles in Ordnung ist, würde ich auch eher auf geschwollene Lymphknoten tippen! Wenn Du morgen eh zum TA gehst, dann lass es mit abchecken! |

Ja, ich hab beim Partnertier auch <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l geschaut, aber da ist nichts geschwollen.
Zahnröntgen war am Montag, aber dadurch, dass es genau die Parallelseite ist, wäre es schon ein großer Zufall.
Es ist so: Wenn ich nor<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l über die Kieferbögen taste, fühle ich nichts. Gehe ich ein wenig weiter rein in die Innenseite <span class="markcol">spspan>üre ich rechts eine Kischkerngroße Kugel, die sich aber verschieben lässt. Links auch, aber da ist sie kleiner.
Falls es ein Abszess wäre, drehe ich echt durch. Ich habe das schon <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l durch und der Ausgang war kein guter.
Ich denke, wenn das ein Abzess wäre würde ich entweder gar nichts <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>chen, bis es nicht mehr geht oder langfristig nicht noch mein Tier quälen.
Ich hab das schon <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l durch. Da hatten sich dann Fistelkanäle gebildet, wo der Eiter munter rein floss und ich sollte wochenlang <span class="markcol">spspan>ülen und es eiterte ohne Ende vor sich hin.
Das möchte ich nie wieder einem Tier antun.
Das ist pure Quälerei und hat nichts mehr mit Tierliebe zu tun. Am Ende ist das Tierchen trotzdem gestorben.

Meine Flocke hatte auch einen Abszess, mußte 2x daran operiert werden und danach war Ruhe! Also es muß nicht immer schlecht ausgehen!
Wir Menschen haben da unten übrigens auch Lymphknoten sitzen... |

Sorry, charly, ich hab da einfach ein Trau<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>.
Den gleichen Knubbel hatte mein da<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>liger Kastrat auch und nach anderthalb Jahren wurde er schlimmer. Es hatte sich ein Kanal gebildet, der operiert werden musste und dann entstand der Abzess.
Die Tierärztin kam gar nicht klar. Mein Tierchen hatte extrem abgenommen und war am Ende nur noch Haut und Knochen. Wir hatten die Prognose, dass es nie wieder zuheilt, weil sich Fistelgänge gebildet hatten. |

Ich weiß langsam weder ein noch aus und stehe selbst kurz vorm nervlichen Zusammenbruch.
Ich war heute bei 2 Tierärztin. Meine Tierärztin <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht gerade Urlaub. Ihr Schwiegersohn (auch Tierarzt) <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht Vertretung.
Er hat das mit meiner Häsin sehr ernst genommen und meinte, er fühlt auch dass es sehr dick ist und ich soll am Mittwoch noch<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l wiederkommen.
Wenn es dann nicht weg ist oder größer, will er punktieren.
Ich habe ihm dann gesagt, dass ich das vermutlich nicht noch<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>chen werde, weil ich erst ein Kaninchen mit Abszess verloren habe.
Ich sagte ihm, wenn es ein Abszess ist, dann soll er sie einschläfern.
Ich habe die ganze Prozedur schon zwei <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l mit anderen Kaninchen durch und es hat nichts gebracht, außer dass die Tierärzte immer reicher und ich immer ärmer geworden bin.
Ich kann nicht mehr. Ich bin total am Ende und kann nicht glauben, dass es uns damit schon wieder erwischt haben soll. Meine Häsin ist 8 Monate.
Er selbst sagte, er kann nicht sagen ob es nun ein Abszess ist oder eine Drüsenreaktion.
Fakt ist, dass es für eine Drüsensache ungewöhnlich wäre, weil es nur auf einer Seite ist(ich hab zwar beide Seiten gefühlt, aber vielleicht habe ich mich damit auch nur vertan).
Wir sind jetzt so verblieben, dass ich Mittwoch wiederkomme, aber ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht mehr was ich noch <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>chen soll. Ich habe weder Kraft noch Geld so eine Abszesssache noch<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l durchzustehen, weil ich in 99 Prozent weiß, dass es wieder kommt und wie es endet. Wochenlange Prozedur, Kraft, Tränen und Geld und am Ende wird es doch nichts.
Außerdem stehen wir kurz vor dem nächsten Lockdown und ich habe hier 2 Risikopatienten. In meiner Umgebung gibt es keine gescheiten Tierärzte. Die in der Tierklinik haben 2 meiner Tiere auf dem Gewissen.
Nach dem Tierarztbesuch habe ich mir noch eine 2. Meinung eingeholt. Die Tierärztin war leider so unfähig, dass sie nicht <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l die dicken Stellen gefühlt hatte. Eigentlich sollte ich zu ihrem Kollegen, der auf Kleintiere <span class="markcol">spspan>ezialisiert ist, aber der hat mich zu ihr abgeschoben und hat sich lieber um einen der Hunde gekümmert, weil die ja mehr Kohle bringen. Da war ich dann wohl zum letzten <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l.
Jetzt sitze ich hier, heule weil ich nicht mehr weiter weiß und schlimmes ahne.
Ich weiß einfach nicht mehr weiter und stehe immer noch unter Schock, weil wir die ganze Scheiße mit dem Abszess jetzt wieder vor uns haben.
Wie würde so eine Punktierung ablaufen? |

Du hast im anderen Forum schon so unzählig viele Antworten bekommen, seitenweise, die du ignoriert hast. Du hast sogar ein Angebot, dass ein Forumsmitglied deine Tiere übernimmt/gesund pflegt, da du damit überfordert bist. Ich war bisher stiller Mitleser, mir tun deine Kaninchen so unendlich leid. Sie haben ja gar nicht die Chance, dass sie bei dir je<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>ls zur Ruhe kommen.
Wenn du sagst, dass du deine Tiere liebst, solltest du ehrlich mit dir sein. Nicht jeder ist zur Kaninchenhaltung geeignet. Das ist ja keine Schande. |

Apropos Sachlichkeit: Ich bin seit 5 Jahren hier im Forum. Du kennst mich nicht, da ich auch im anderen Forum noch nie was geschrieben habe.
Was ich über dich oben geschrieben habe, ist die Wahrheit (was mit etwas Recherche für jeder<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>nn auch leicht zu finden ist).

Bitte bleibt doch bei einem vernünftigen Ton, wir sind doch alle hier um unseren Tieren zu Helfen!
@2Kaninchen...von wo aus NRW kommst Du denn? Hier in der Umgebung gibt es doch einige zahnkundige Tierärzte, vielleicht finden wir einen in einer erreichbaren Nähe! Zur Not mußt Du Dir tatsächlich einen Tag frei nehmen, aber dann wärst Du einen Schritt weiter!
Ich weiß aus eigener Erfahrung, das die Pflege von kranken Tieren sehr kräfteraubend ist, aber bei einem so jungen Tier kann <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n doch nicht so schnell aufgeben!
Auf Facebook gibt es eine Gruppe: Kaninchen mit Abszessen & Zahnproblemen - Tipps & Hilfe, dort schreibt ein auf Zähne <span class="markcol">spspan>ezialisierter Tierarzt (Dr. Meyer) mit. Wenn Du die Röntgenbilder einstellt, kann er sich dazu äußern.
Und wenn Du es psychisch und finanziell nicht schaffst das Tier zu versorgen, dann würde ich vielleicht wirklich eine Pflegestelle suchen, die das für Dich übernimmt...besser als das Tier einzuschläfern!
Meld Dich in der Gruppe an, da sind sehr viele, die eine schlimme Zeit mit Ihren Tieren durchge<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht haben und wo es doch gut ausgegangen ist!

Dort sind nur Leute die sehr viel Erfahrung mit derartigen Problemen haben und Dr. Meyer (Mönchengladbach) kann eine Einschätzung zu den Röntgenbildern geben und eventuell auch einen Kollegen in Deiner Nähe empfehlen!
Mein favorisierter TA Dr. Lazarz ist leider verstorben, aber es gibt noch Frau Dr. <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>ttner in Grevenbroich, Dr. Gabriel in Meschede oder die Praxis Graf-Bildhauer in Köln. Wenn ich ehrlich bin hatte ich ihn auch auf meiner Liste wegen meinem Kaninchen und wollte ihm eigentlich meine Röntgenbilder schicken und hatte schon überlegt wie ich organisiere, dass ich mit meiner Häsin zu ihm fahre.
Wieder ein Kaninchen<span class="markcol">spspan>ezialist weniger.
Es gibt so wenige davon.
Kaum ein Tierarzt bildet sich gerne in Sachen Kaninchen weiter, weil sich das nicht so lohnt. |

Ein Hobby soll <span class="markcol">Spspan>aß <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>chen, <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n soll sich wohl damit fühlen und gerne damit beschäftigen. Wenn Du das für Deine Kaninchenhaltung nicht (mehr) unterschreiben kannst, wenn es mehr Stress ist und/oder finanziell belastend, dann ist es Zeit darüber nachzudenken, ob sich das so wie es ist noch richtig anfühlt oder <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n einen anderen Weg einschlagen möchte.
Ein Kieferabszess - sollte es einer sein, was ich Dir und Deinem Patienten nicht wünsche - ist zweifelsohne eine sehr ernste Sache und erfordert einen erfahrenen Tierarzt. Aber er ist kein Grund, ein Kaninchen einzuschläfern. Ich hoffe, unter den genannten Tierärzten ist je<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>nd dabei, der für Dich erreichbar ist und erst ein<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l weiterhelfen kann. |

Liebe Gretchen,
na ja Hobby in dem Sinne ist es für mich nicht. Es ist schon mehr. Ein Hobby setze ich gleich mit Eisenbahn aufbauen oder Brief<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>rken sammeln. Meine Kaninchen sind ja Lebewesen.
Ich verstehe, was du mir sagen möchtest, aber ich bin nicht an dem Punkt, an dem ich die Kaninchenhaltung aufgeben möchte.
Fakt ist, dass ich mit Abszessen keine guten Erfahrungen ge<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht habe. Ich habe mich schon ein<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l um zwei Abszesstiere gekümmert und beides ging nicht gut aus. Auch, weil sich die Fachkenntnisse der Tierärzte doch sehr in Grenzen hielten und weil irgendwo auch anatomisch beim Kaninchen Grenzen da sind. Kanincheneiter ist käsig. Nicht wie bei Hund oder Katze, wo du etwas aufschneidest, es läuft ab und dann ist alles gut.
Ich stimme dir zu, dass vieles von einem guten Tierarzt abhängt, aber sein wir auch ehrlich. Abszesse im Kiefer haben keine gute Prognose und jeder der was
anderes behauptet, der <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>cht sich was vor.
Ich persönlich kenne übrigens mehr Fälle, die was Abszesse angeht tödlich endeten als Kaninchen, die wieder gesund geworden sind.
Irgendwo ist dann auch die Frage, tut <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n den Tieren bei Kieferabszessen den Gefallen, sie wochenlang zu <span class="markcol">spspan>ülen und zu operieren.
Das sagt dir je<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>nd, der das Problem zwei <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l miterlebt hat. Ich weiß, wovon ich <span class="markcol">spspan>reche.
Wenn der Abszess am Bein ist oder am Ohr ist es schon schlimm genug, aber beim Kiefer geht das oft in die Fistelkanäle und die Wahrscheinlichkeit zu Rezidiven ist hoch. Es ist daher gut abzuwägen ob <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n das sich und dem Kaninchen antut.
Ich weiß, dass das einige vielleicht nicht gern hören, aber immer bedenken: Ich habe es <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l miterlebt
Bei Fall 1 zog es sich über 8 Wochen, bis mein Widder so schwach war, dass er stark abgenommen hatte.
Bei Fall 2 wurde dann nichts mehr gefressen
<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">Maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l vom finanziellen und anatomischen A<span class="markcol">spspan>ekt abgesehen ist es ethisch auch nicht gerade schön ein eiterndes Lebewesen immer wieder hochzuheben und mehr<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>ls täglich zu <span class="markcol">spspan>ülen.
Da komme ich in Bereiche wo ich mich frage, ist das noch artgerecht.
Ich kenne leider keinen Fall wo das gut ausging. Dafür aber viele traurige Fälle mit traurigen Ausgängen.
Was mich hier so bestürzt ist, dass unsere Häsin erst 8 Monate alt ist.
Sollte es ein Abszess sein, ist das genetisch bedingt und wenn das jetzt schon so arg ist, wird es realistisch gesehen <span class="markcol">spspan>äter nicht besser.
Dra<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>tisch ist auch, dass wir uns erst wochenlang mit Augenentzündung und dann Kastration rumgeschlagen haben und jetzt eben das Nächste da ist.

| Das will ich auch gar nicht schönreden. Abszesse sind eine sehr ernste und langwierige Sache und Rezidive kommen häufiger <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l vor. Nichtsdestotrotz ist es doch auch positiv, wenn ein Kaninchen durch eine erfolgreiche Abszessbehandlung ein oder mehrere gute Jahre gewonnen hat. Nur aufgrund der Diagnose Abszess einschläfern zu lassen (wobei sich der ausführende Tierarzt dann je nach Fall auch strafbar <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>chen kann), würde ich definitiv nicht. Dass <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>n je nach Fall abwägt und es <<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>nch<<span class="markcol">spspan>an <<span class="markcol">spspan>an class="markcol">classspan class="markcol">spspan>an>="markcol">maspan class="markcol">spspan>an>l die einzige und letzte Option ist, ist klar. Aber das gilt dann individuell und nicht pauschal. |
