| Hallo zusammen,

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>nach drei Jahren hat unser Hanibal (kastriert) entdeckt, dass er seine Freundin, Helena, besteigen kann. Seit einer Woche ist sie nun total panisch, sobald sich auch nur in der Nähe ein Strohhalm bewegt. Sie trampelt und rast in wahnsinniger Geschwindigkeit im Kreis durch den Käfig, so dass wir Angst haben, dass sie sich irgendwann weh tut oder einen Schock bekommt. Lässt sich das wieder in den Griff bekommen? Bisher war die Rollenverteilung immer umgekehrt. Wir sind tagsüber i.d.R. nicht zu hause und eine Woche Trennung hat sich überhaupt nicht ausgewirkt.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Zunächst einmal ist es wichtig zu wissen, wieviel Platz die beiden haben.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Man rechnet PRO Kaninchen 2 qm + zusätzlichen Auslauf, in der Aussenhaltung sogar 3qm.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Dieser Platz muss den Kaninchen rund um die Uhr zur Verfügung stehen, damit sie auch die Möglichkeit haben, sich zu bewegen und sich natürlich auch mal aus dem Weg gehen zu können.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Für mich hört sich das nach normalen Rangordnugskämpfen an, die immer mal wieder auftreten können, erst recht, wenn einer dem anderen den Rang abschwatzen will.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Gejage, Fellflug und berammeln ist dabei völlig normal und man sollte die Tiere erst dann trennen, wenn es zu Beißereien kommt. Ansonsten erreicht man damit nur das Gegenteil und es geht immer wieder von vorne los.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Wenn man dann die Tiere einmal über einen längeren Zeitraum getrennt hatte - sollte dieser 14 Tage beteragen. In dieser Zeit sollen Sie sich weder sehen , noch riechen und anschliessen vergesellschaftet man die Tiere auf einem neutralen Boden.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Neutral, dass bedeutet entweder wo die Kaninchen noch nie waren oder das Gehege sollte sehr stark gereinigt werden.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Bei Euch, war die zeit zu kurz und der Kaninchenbock rammelt Sie um seinen Chefrolle zubestärken.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Durch die Trennung über den kurzen Zeitraum hat sich Agression angesammlet - die nun entladen wird.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Mh, wie läuft es den jetzt. Sind Sie friedlich - ansonsten wirklich noch einmal 14 Tage ohne Kontakt trennen und dann VG´n.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Ein weiterer Punkt ist natrülich - der Käfig. Er bietet den Mümmeln zu wenig Platz und daher kann es zu Agressionen kommen.
<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Baut doch den Beiden in der Trennungszeit ein schönes Gehege von 4 qwm - und in dem werden Sie dann zusammengeführt.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Ich vermute, dass sich dieses Problem lösen wird, wenn die zwei nicht mehr in einem KÄFIG, sondern einem Gehege mit mindestens 2qm Platz pro Tier leben. Sie kann ihm so nicht ausweichen und sie haben zu wenig Platz darin.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>die beiden leben seit eineinhalb Jahren auf 1,40 * 0,80 m². Nach einer Stunde hat sich das Ganze nun etwas gelegt, aber sie sprintet jedesmal los, sobald er sich bewegt.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Wir werden die Nacht über abwarten, wie sich die Dinge entwickeln. Wenn das nicht funktioniert, müssen wir sie von einander trennen - leider war das in unserer Wohnung schlecht möglich, weil eigentlich nur ein zumutbares Kaninchenarela existiert...

Die beiden haben sich heute im Tagesverlauf offenbar wieder ein wenig "eingekriegt" oder sind nun einfach nur müde. Leider ist an ein eigenes Zimmer nicht zu denken, aber die Gehegeelemente sind einen Versuch wert. Wir werden mal schauen, wie sich das zur Erweiterung nutzen lässt. Hat jemand eine Idee, wie man den Untergrund herrichten kann? Hanibal nimmt es mit der Toilettenecke manchmal nicht 100 %ig genau - jedenfalls nicht in "seinen vier Wänden". Ein paar m² mehr würden sicher nicht schaden, auch wenn das wirklich nicht leicht zu realisieren sein dürfte.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Wir haben uns jedenfalls dazu durchgerungen, die beiden nicht zu trennen und nach einigem Gejage haben sich einige class="markcol">Spannungen wohl wieder gelegt. Sie gibt nun früher auf und zeigt ihm zur Unterwerfung ihr Hinterteil Wir haben ü<class="markcol">span class="markcol">brclass="markcol">span>igens die Hütte rausgenommen, die während der Verfolgungsjagd immer im Weg stand und für Verletzungsgefahr gesorgt hatte. Das macht zwar das Verstecken schwieriger, aber im Moment ist das bestimmt besser so.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Falls die Lage noch eskaliert, sich verschlimmert oder wenn sich alles wieder einrenkt, schreiben wir noch einmal (falls Interessierte später mal im Archiv auf den Beitrag stoßen). Für Tipps sind wir jederzeit offen und dankbar. Das Platzangebot werden wir, wie gesagt, versuchen zu verbessern.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>PVC eignet sich gut als Untergrund, diesen müsstet ihr nur so legen, dass sie nicht an die Ränder kommen und diese anknabbern können. Auch kleine Baumwoll-Flickenteppiche bieten sich an, diese kann man in die Waschmaschine stecken und es kann nichts passieren, wenn sie mal angeknabbert werden.

<<class="markcol">span class="markcol">BRclass="markcol">span>>Häuschen könnt ihr den Beiden weiterhin anbieten, diese müssen nur zwei Ein- bzw. Ausgänge haben, damit sie nicht im Falle einer Jagerei zu einer Falle werden können. |

| Dankeschön! Ich glaube wir haben noch neuen PVC-Belag in der Garage - schon recht gut ausgeünstet sogar... Wir versuchen mal uns eine schlaue Konstruktion zu überlegen.

| ich habe einfach den käfig stehen lassen, ihn auf einem tisch aufgebockt damit sie darin ihr klo u ihr heu weiterhin bewohnen und darunter auch noch platz zum schlafen haben. das gitterelement habe ich in einem großen bogen drumherum gemacht um noch mehr platz zu bekommen. inzwischen laufen sie auch frei in der wohnung herum wenn ich da bin. da wird manchmal aber noch gerauft wem denn das erweiterte arenal gehört aber meistens liegen sie friedlich auf dem teppich herum. keine köttel mehr, kein gepuller mehr so wie am anfang. |
